Singapore GP - Preview

Hey everyone,

Next weekend, Singapore will be hosting its 3rd Formula One GP, around the streets of marina bay, in the darkness of the night. Some people compare the Singapore GP to tracks like Monaco, and Valencia. Now i think it is quite silly to rank the Singapore GP to a location like Monaco, because Monaco is all about prestige, and the rich and famous, and the history of the circuit, as the track has been used for racing since 1929.

However the Singapore GP has only been on the F1 calender since 2008, and is not about prestige; more for showcasing Singapore for its modern state.

Also, it cannot compare to the Valencia circuit, as the Singapore GP is more exciting, and has better corners, and more overtaking spots than the circuit in the Docks of Valencia.

Lets hope to see an exciting and Ferrari dominated grand prix. And for the tourists in Singapore for the GP, there are many F1 related events for you to enjoy, such as race simulators in Suntec City, Marina Square, and Ion Orchard.

Here are some pictures from the previous GPs. and once again, thanks for reading my awesome blog.

2010 Belgian GP - Review

Spa-Francorchamps. The most famous circuit of em all on the calender. Every year it promises to provide racing at its best, and this years GP was no exception. A few celebrations were in order, the first of which was Mark Webbers birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEBBER! and the second of which, is a major milestone in any F1 drivers career, which was Rubens Barrichello's 300th Grands Prix. 300!! Congratulations Rubens!

Off the race start, and the weather was already showing its dark side, literally, as dark clouds started to gather over the Ardennes forest, spitting drops of rain at the first corner. Webber got a really bad start, while the others got away cleanly.

However, the disappointment of the day happened at the end of lap one, where Rubens Barrichello got taken out at the bus stop chicane. lets hope his 301th race would be much much better.

Also, another disappointment was when Fernando (Alonso) got caught out by the weather, and spun out at turn 5, and hit the barrier and wrecked the front end of the car, deeming it un-drivable.

However, Massa did drive a clean race, and in comparison, Hamilton drove a brilliant race, going into the gravel trap and escaping it oh so narrowly, inches away from the tyre barrier.

Next race coming up would be at the famed Ferrari stomping ground, the famous Monza circuit, in Italy. Hopefully Ferrari would get their long awaited 1-2 podium finish.

I thank you, loyal readers, of my humble blog once again, and i leave you with a few pictures of Monza.
